Alcohol-Free Beverages in Milwaukee (8 Locations)

Are you looking for alcohol-free beverages in The Brew City?

As someone who’s been alcohol-free for 4+ years, and living in Wisconsin for about 10 years, I have a few suggestions for you!

  1. The Sugar Maple

In the heart of downtown Bay View, Wisconsin’s 1st THC Cocktails were born!

The Sugar Maple offers a wide variety of alcohol-free drinks on their impressive “booze-free” menu. You’ll find local kombucha from Soul Brew, NA wine, NA beer from Untitled Art and Lakefront Brewery, CBD seltzer, SANS Junipre, and more.

Truly offering something for everyone, cocktails at The Sugar Maple can be booze-based, hemp-derived, or alcohol-free.

OR a combo of alcohol-free and hemp-derived.

Or low-alcohol. The choice is yours.

2. Lakefront Brewery

If you’re visiting Milwaukee and want a “locally focused” experience, Lakefront Brewery is a must. This brewery produces three non-alcoholic beers that are loved by the community and can often be spotted on local menus.

  • Eastside Dark NA

  • Extended Play NA

  • Riverwest Stein NA

Lakefront is located on the Milwaukee River, under the Holton Street Bridge, creating a charming backdrop for NA beer sipping.

Stop in to enjoy a brew or pick up a 6-pack to take with you!

3. Inmoxicated

Inmoxicated, White Russian

Inmoxicated is the first alcohol-free bar and bottle shop to open doors in Wisconsin. Founder Shannon Goodman opened the “sobar” to bring an inclusive space to Racine, Wisconsin, making a massive impact on the community and state

On the menu, and available for purchase, customers can try a wide variety of products - “from wine and beer to spirits like rum, gin, whiskey, tequila and vodka — all alcohol-free.” Their in-house cooler is always stocked with ready-to-drink favorites and 35+ NA beers. After my last visit, I hauled home Proxies, Busty Lush, and local kombucha. I’ve also had a White Russian here, a rare find for the AF community, and it was perfect.💗

And it’s not just drinks! You’ll find games, events, and even a “sober date” lock wall. If you’re in Wisconsin and want to try sober karaoke, this is a great place to go. Trivia and game nights are regularly on the Inmoxicated calendar

From Inmoxicated: “Sober without sacrifice. Here at Inmoxicated, our mission is to help normalize the decision to not consume alcohol by offering space to connect with other non-drinkers and providing an extensive selection of premium, alcohol-free beverage alternatives.”

4. HoneyBee Sage Wellness & Apothecary

HoneyBee Sage Wellness & Apothecary

This King Drive location is home to an herbal apothecary, metaphysical gift shop, tea cafe, and alcohol-free craft cocktail lounge.

Now, if you’re thinking that sounds like a lot, you’d be right!

Founded by Angela Mallett, HoneyBee Sage Wellness is a collaborative healing hub featuring products from local experts and is the first alcohol-free cocktail lounge in Milwaukee. With 200+ dried herbs in-house, you can stock up for at-home needs or enjoy an herbaceous, tasty drink in this lively cafe.

Created by Tracy Jean, a local entrepreneur and creative, the alcohol-free menu and bar program stand out from any other menu in the city - a total Milwaukee gem.

I encourage you to stop in and ask about the menu because it was made with A LOT of care, and the “honeybees” love to talk about it!

As a bottle shop, they also stock Ritual Zero Proof, Seedlip, MONDAY, Free Spirit, and more. Visit this calming cafe for a drink, or attend an event like poetry night, karaoke, or community discussions.

From HoneyBee: “HoneyBees thrive in community and we joyfully welcome you to ours! Within our community, we have become a resource for herbs, medicinal herbal teas, clean body products, metaphysical healing tools, and so much more. Welcome to our Global Community of Homegrown Healers!”

5. Boone & Crockett

Known for their high-quality cocktails and scenic spot on the water, Boone & Crockett is an easy “yes” for mindful drinkers.

The menu features five non-alcoholic cocktails

  • Backseat Bingo

  • Stranger Danger

  • Cardinal Punch

  • The Orange Care Bear

  • High & Dry

And for beer drinkers, there are three NA beers on the menu.

Take your bevs outside for a gorgeous view of the Hoan Bridge! And if it’s cold, which it often is in Wisconsin, the interior is cozy, rustic, and unique, ready to host your alcohol-free night out. If you don’t see a cocktail you like on the menu, ask the bartender about more alcohol-free options. The service at Boone & Crockett is reported by locals to be friendly and helpful.

6. Foundation Bar

Known for its remarkable interior, this Milwaukee tiki bar has been “consistently voted by visitors and critics as one of the top ten tiki bars in the world.”

On the menu, you’ll find five non-alcoholic cocktails featuring tropical, fresh fruit combinations:

  • Coco Noa

  • Lei Cooler

  • Nuku Punch

  • Passion Punch

  • Tiki Garden

From Foundation Bar: “We are very passionate about our little slice of paradise. We want your visit to be enchanting and memorable. As you leave the warm, south seas vibe of Foundation Bar, you will already be yearning for your next visit.”

7. Lost Whale

Lost Whale, Phony Negroni

On the menu, Lost Whale features three non-alcoholic cocktails:

  • Ope! Just Gonna Squeeze Right Past Ya

  • “Whiskey” Wisco Old Fashioned

  • Phony Negroni

The Kinnickinnic Ave interior has various seating options and a cozy atmosphere, ideal for a date or drinks with friends. This is where I tried St. Argestis’s Phony Negroni for the first time (and loved it). I also appreciate the inclusion of a Wisconsin Classic - the Old Fashioned, in an alcohol-free version. For the OF, you’ll find Ritual Zero Proof Whiskey and can choose between sweet and sour.

“Ope! Just Gonna Squeeze Right Past Ya” features a local alcohol-free product - Great Lakes Distillery’s SANS Junipre, along with hibiscus, lemon, orange blossom water, strawberry puree, basil, and seltzer water. YUM!

If cocktails aren’t your thing, they also carry a few Athletic Brewing NA beers.

8. Great Lakes Distillery

Great Lakes Distillery, Sans Junipre

Located near Walker’s Point on the Menomonee River, this Milwaukee distillery introduced one of the most popular NA menu items in the city - SANS Junipre, an alcohol-free botanical spirit with a refreshing “gin-like” flavor.

Bartenders at Great Lakes Distillery are happy to take drink requests and get creative with you. When I was there, I tried an Old Fashioned made with Junipre and Top Note Tonic, as well as a Low Key Cooler with lime, and both were delicious.

Ask to see their non-alcoholic cocktail menu with 10+ options like an NA mule, Tom Collins, Coco Lime, and more. With a traditional, welcoming bar space and beautiful patio, GLD should definitely be on your list.

I hope you enjoyed my first list of Milwaukee AF beverage locations!

More to come😉
